Inspiring audiences since 2011, the Boston Speakers Series brings seven thought leaders to Symphony Hall each season to share their perspectives on global affairs, politics, history, the environment, literature, business, economics, and the arts.
Equal parts entertainment and education, the Series presents timely topics and speakers representing a variety of views to promote understanding, critical thinking, and respect. Subscribers welcome the opportunity to hear and learn from speakers whose views may differ from their own and be a part of positive civic dialogue.
From leaders in government to Broadway, journalism, history, and science, the lecture events showcase a unique breadth of topics and personalities. The authentic, live, in-person experiences are memorable nights out, with speakers sharing personal anecdotes and “behind the headlines” stories about their unique experiences before taking questions from the audience.
“At first we were reluctant to purchase the entire series. But it turned out that the speakers we were the least interested in,
were the ones we enjoyed the most. Now we understand why it’s sold as a series.”
“What a treat! It is a rare experience to have your soul stirred, your mind stimulated,
and your funny bone tickled… all in one evening.”
“It’s like an elite continuing education course where the ‘guest lecturers,’
season after season, are some of the best and brightest minds of our time.”
